Emily K. Newbold is a bi-lingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience working with diverse populations in both individual and group therapy.  Emily’s strengths based style creates a safe therapeutic environment where those who have had trauma or are dealing with PTSD are able to gain coping skills and mindfulness to reduce their symptoms.

In addition to working with trauma, one of Emily’s specialties is working closely with parents who have children with special needs and has helped them manage the complex emotions that tie into raising children differently.  Emily is also skilled at treating depression, anxiety, and anger.  She strives to provide a safe therapeutic experience for all of her clients.

Emily uses an integrative therapeutic approach and uses different theoretical frameworks to ensure that therapy remains client centered.  Emily works well with adolescents, adults, and couples. Her goal is to help those she sees to return to their “normal”.

Out of the office, Emily enjoys time with her husband and three kids.  She also enjoys a good book and weight lifting.
